Why should I attend VIMF?
Experience the GTA’s only FREE, hyper-connected summer music festival. Discover 12+ Canadian artist across two nights of Rock and Country music, enjoy great food, community experiences, free parking, and direct subway access in the Heart of Downtown Vaughan.
When and where is the festival taking place?
VIMF2026 takes place at Assembly Park – South VMC, located at: 80 Interchange Way, Vaughan ON L4K 5W3. The Festival Hours are Friday July 17, 2026 from 5:00PM to 11:00PM, and Saturday July 18, 2026 from 5:00PM to 11:00PM.
Do I need a ticket?
While admission is free, we encourage guests to reserve a ticket through Eventbrite. Registration helps us better plan the event and communicate important updates.
What kind of music can I expect?
VIMF2026 will showcase over 12 Canadian artists across two exciting nights: Rock Night (July 17) and Country Night (July 18). Expect a mix of emerging and established Canadian talent performing live in the heart of Downtown Vaughan.
Is the event family-friendly?
Yes! VIMF is designed for music lovers of all ages. Families are welcome to enjoy live music, community activations, food vendors and more.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. Assembly Park – South VMC is an accessible venue. Guests requiring accomodations are encourages to contact us in advance at info@myvimf.com.
How do I get to the festival?
VIMF is one of the few festivals in York Region that offers direct TTC subway access and free on-site parking. You can reach us by: TTC Subway (Vaughan Metropolitan Centre Station); YRT/Viva Transit; Ride Share Services (Uber, Lyft, Taxi); and Personal Vehicle (Free Parking Available).
Is parking available?
Yes! Complimentary on-site parking will be available for festival attendees while spaces last.
Will food and drinks be available?
Yes! Guests can enjoy a variety of food vendors, international bites, beverages, and festival treats throughout the event.
Will there be alcohol available?
Yes. Guests of legal drinking age may purchase alcoholic beverages within the licensed Spirits Garden. Valid government-issued photo identification is required.
Can I bring my pet?
Friendly, well-behaved pets are welcome. All pets must remain leashed and under the owner’s supervision at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Can I bring my own food or drinks?
Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages for personal consumption are permitted. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.
What should I bring?
We recommend: Your Eventbrite registration confirmation; a reusable water bottle; sunscreen; comfortable footwear; a light sweater or jacket for the evening; valid government-issued ID if you plan to visit the Spirits Garden.
Will there be seating?
Limited seating may be available. Guests are encouraged to bring portable lawn chairs or picnic blankets where permitted.
What happens if it rains?
VIMF is a rain-or-shine event. In the event of severe weather, updates will be communicated through our website and social media channels.

Will photography and video be taking place?
Yes. Photography, videography, and media coverage will occur throughout the festival. By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear in promotional, marketing, or documentary content related to VIMF.
